Fave five.
As far as back-row forwards go, they don’t come much better than current World Rugby Player of the Year, Pieter-Steph Du Toit.
The Springboks star is an absolute superstar that would find himself in the starting XV for pretty much any team in the world – but who does the 28-year-old admire among his peers?
Speaking to World Rugby on their show The Wrap, the flanker named five men he reckons are a cut above the rest in the world right now.
Interestingly he’s gone with three men from the northern hemisphere – England’s Sam Underhill and Tom Curry, as well as Lions captain Alun Wyn Jones, and two from down south – Springboks teammate Cheslin Kolbe and All Black Ardie Savea.
“They’re a really good combination playing for England and I definitely think they’re two players to watch out for in the future,” du Toit said of Curry and Underhill.
