The Telegraph selects their current British & Irish Lions squad

Lions.

The 2025 British and Irish Lions tour of Australia may be still over a year away – but that hasn’t stopped us from getting excited about it already.

The famous touring side will take on the Wallabies in a three-Test series, along with their usual midweek games against the local franchises, as well as a special game against Argentina in Dublin before they fly out.

Ireland boss Andy Farrell will lead the Lions as head coach, with the 48-year-old set to take up his new role at the beginning of next year.

His son Owen Farrell has been tipped as a potential captain, but as for the squad itself, the Telegraph has had a go at picking what a current British and Irish Lions squad would look like and it’s a pretty decent selection.

Interestingly, Farrell doesn’t even make their squad. Have a look at their selection below and let us know what you think of it.
