Should Joe Schmidt ring the changes against Italy?
Ireland will be looking to get their Six Nations back on track this weekend with big win over Italy. After Saturday’s loss, a bonus-point win is a must to keep their dreams of winning the Six Nations alive.
Joe Schmidt is notorious for sticking to his guns, so realistically we probably won’t see many changes to the side that lost to Italy, but we can always hope.
Here’s the side we’d like to see take the field against the Italians.
1. Jack McGrath
2. Rory Best (c)
3. Tadhg Furlong
4. Iain Henderson
5. Donnacha Ryan
6. Sean O’Brien (POM if fit)
7. Josh van der Flier
8. CJ Stander
9. Conor Murray
10. Paddy Jackson
11. Simon Zebo
12. Robbie Henshaw
13. Gary Ringrose
14. Andrew Trimble
15. Tiernan O’Halloran
This is a side that we feel has the perfect balance of experience and attacking flair to put a good score up on the Italians. What do you think? It’ll never happen, but here’s hoping.
