Paul O’Connell went under the knife today to repair the hamstring he injured in Ireland’s win over France on Sunday and he’s just posted a picture to reveal one upside to the whole ordeal.

Ireland have already revealed that O’Connell will be heading back to Cardiff ahead of Sunday’s clash with Argentina to give the squad a motivational boost. Maybe he’ll bring the jocks along with him as a good luck charm?
