Not ideal.
Jamie Roberts will likely miss Bath’s upcoming Champions Cup games with Toulouse and Wasps as the Wales international centre continues to recover from a nasty facial injury.
Roberts did damage to his eye after fracturing his cheekbone in Bath’s win over Harlequins last month after coming off in the second-half. He uploaded a picture to social media the last day – and it was pretty nasty to say the least.
In the meantime he’s bit doing a bit of punditry with BT Sport, and is on hand this evening for Bath’s crucial clash with the Exeter Chiefs. The goos news is he’s healing well, but there’s one problem…
Turns out his eye is healing in the shape of St. George’s Cross, which appears on the England flag. Not ideal if you’re a Welshman!
