Nasty.
Ulster bounced back from a poor festive period in the PRO14 in some style this past weekend, with a massive win over La Rochelle to keep them in contention for a spot in the knockout stages of the Champions Cup.
Tries from captain Rory Best, Jacob Stockdale and Nick Timoney secured a 20-13 win for the Irish province, who were soundly beaten by the French side in their previous pool clash.
Ulster now travel to Coventry to take on Wasps, knowing a win of any kind will secure them a quarter final spot. But they will have to do it without Ireland international Craig Gilroy, who fractured his cheekbone in the win.
Gilroy was forced off in the 27th minute after a nasty accidental clash of the heads with scrumhalf Alexis Bales, and has since undergone successful surgery. We wish him all the best in his recovery.
