Mrs. Conroy.
Ireland and Munster flanker Peter O’Mahony was a guest on The Late Late Show with Ryan Tubridy last night and absolutely stole the show.
O’Mahony discussed a wide range of subjects including last weekend’s famous 16-9 win over the All Blacks at the Aviva Stadium, the influence the late Anthony Foley had on his career and the charity work he does with dogs for the disabled.
He also discussed huge role his Granny has played his in life and upbringing. She took care of a young O’Mahony from an early age while his parents worked and has always been one of his biggest fans.
And in typical Granny fashion – she’s very protective of her Grandson.
“I was with her this morning having a coffee. She’s still giving out to fellas for tackling me the wrong way.” O’Mahony smiled
“She makes sure I have my glass of milk for the bones”
And when O’Mahony is playing, she’s not the most comfortable of viewers…
“She spends most her time hiding behind the tv, or praying somewhere.” O’Mahony added.
