What a coup.
Former Munster, Ireland and Lions captain Paul O’Connell is set to take up a shock coaching role at Top 14 side Stade Francais.
The sleeping giants have come on leaps and bounds in recent months, backed by their billionaire owner Hans Peter-Wild. They’ve recruited star names in Nicolas Sanchez, Gael Fickou and Yoann Maestri, and brought in former Springboks boss Heyneke Meye as their head coach.
The move will also see him link up with fellow Young Munster man Mike Prendergast, who recently joined the club as their new backs and attack coach.
The club Tweeted a video today teasing a new arrival, that appears to be none other than the former Munster and Ireland lock himself.
