Paul O’Connell has reportedly been given the role of recruitment consultant by Munster Rugby.
The former Munster and Ireland captain was forced to hang up his boots this year due to an injury sustained against France in last year’s Rugby World Cup.
O’Connell has been linked with a host of positions both in Ireland and in France, including the forwards job with Grenoble, which he turned down.
The IRFU were said to be in talks with the lock about a possible position and it appears O’Connell will return to Munster initially in this consulting role with a possible view to another position within the set-up down the line.
