Pat Lam isn’t messing around.
Inbound Bristol boss Pat Lam pulled off an incredible coup this week when it was announced that Steven Luatua would be joining the Premiership strugglers next week.
Lam’s previous relationship with the All Blacks back-row at the Blues where he was head coach- was key in luring the star to England. It seems Lam isn’t ready to stop there with reports coming in that he’s looking to bring in more All Blacks and pull off a sensational double swoop for Ryan Crotty and TJ Perenara.
The All Blacks duo are very much still a part of Steve Hansen’s plan for the 2019 Rugby World Cup with Crotty working his way back into the side as one of New Zealand’s first-choice centres and Perenara hot on the heels of under-fire Aaron Smith for the starting nine jersey.
Lam is yet to take over at Bristol but it’s clear who’s making the decisions when it comes to their recruitment overhaul.
