Former Ulster outhalf Paddy Jackson made his long-awaited return to rugby yesterday evening, as his new side Perpignan defeated Top 14 rivals Toulouse in a pre-season friendly.
Jackson’s first game with the newly-promoted French side couldn’t have gone better – he started at ten and converted all three of Perpignan’s tries, ensuring a hard-fought 21-19 win.
The Ulsterman last to the the field while on Ireland duty during their summer Test with Japan in June of 2017.
