Done deal.
Former Ulster and Ireland outhalf Paddy Jackson has completed his move to French side USA Perpignan on a two-year contract. The newly-promoted French club confirmed the news this morning.
The talented playmaker has been looking for a club since the IRFU decided to revoke his contract following a hugely publicised rape trial in which he was found not guilty.
Perpignan will be playing the in the Top 14 next season having been promoted last month.
Christian Lanta, Sporting Director of the French side, said of the move:
“Paddy Jackson, in the tradition of Irish 10s, knows how to bring his individual qualities to benefit the collective; a proven kicker, a talented playmaker, Paddy can bring his international experience to the team.”
Jackson joins former teammate Stuart Olding in France, with the centre signing a deal with PRO D2 side Brive.
