Munster have begun the PRO14 season with the unlikeliest of wins against Scarlet at Parc Y Scarlets this afternoon thanks to the boot of youngster Ben Healy.
The southern province were poor for much of the game, failing to string a decent attack together at times and found themselves trailing by 14 points with just over 13 minutes to go.
But a try from Chris Farrell, converted by Healy, got them within 7 points before a TMO check saw captain Peter O’Mahony red-carded for a reckless shoulder on the ground straight after the try was scored.
Leigh Halfpenny then put 10 points between them with the resulting penalty and the game looked to be in the bag for the home side.

But Healy bagged a penalty two minutes later before hooker Kevin O’Byrne scored Munster’s third try and suddenly the scores were level with two minutes to go.
Healy was then handed an opportunity to win the game with a monster penalty from around 52 metres out – and he delivered. An incredible win for the southern province but they won’t be happy with their performance for most of the game.
Great character to come back but character won’t help them come the business end of the season.
