Legend.
Welshman Nigel Owens is regarded as one of the best referees in the history of the game. He’s also probably one of the nicest guys out there, regularly giving back to the rugby community whenever he can.
But his latest gesture might just be one of his best yet, with Owens offering to come down and referee a game free of charge in aid of a young boy who is very sick, having lost his arms and legs to a horrible disease.
“It would cost you nothing at all for me to referee the game for the young lad,” Owens wrote.
“It would be an honour to so. Will DM you my contact to see if I can make it work.”
An absolutely top class gesture from Owens. Fair play.
