Grow up.
Nigel Owens is one of the best referees in the business and that’s fact. The Welshman is one of the most experienced and decorated officials in the game having officiated at the very highest level for almost 20 years.
He’s taken charge of multiple Tests, European finals and even the Rugby World Cup final back in 2015 between New Zealand and Australia. So when a so called ‘fan’ decides to have a go at him on Twitter – he has every right to defend himself.
One such Leinster fan called his refereeing in the PRO14 last night as “outrageous” and upon Owens’ closer inspection has been criticising the Welshman on the social media platform for quite some time.
And Owens rightly put him in his place…
When someone reads your twitter history & sees the common thread of your comments about me over the years. It wont take them long to see that your dislike for me maybe more than just my refereeing? I have no idea why if so. So maybe you can enlighten us?. Now jog on & grow up mun

But why bother even replying? Because he reckons too many people stay quiet on Twitter instead of calling out “the idiots and trolls.”
I dont think so personally. To many people say nothing instead of calling out the idiots and trolls on here in my humble opinion.
