As Anthony Foley’s remains are laid to rest, Munster must now prepare themselves for their Champions Cup clash with Glasgow Warriors.
Foley’s former men were due to kick off their campaign last week against French side Racing 92 before the news broke of his passing, with the game subsequently called off.
Munster were given the option to postpone this weekend’s fixture also, but chose not to as it isn’t what Foley would have wanted according to Director of Rugby, Rassie Erasmus.
In the team news, Keith Earls makes his return to the starting line-up after recovering from a concussion. Peter O’Mahony captains the side and is accompanied in the backrow by Tommy O’Donnell and CJ Stander.
Jaco Taute starts in the centre alongside Rory Scannell as Earls is favoured on the wing.
Munster also confirmed that scrumhalf Tomás O’Leary has joined Top 14 side Montpellier on a four month loan agreement.
Munster XV: (15-9) Simon Zebo; Darren Sweetnam, Jaco Taute, Rory Scannell, Keith Earls; Tyler Bleyendaal, Conor Murray; (1-8) Dave Kilcoyne, Niall Scannell, John Ryan; Donnacha Ryan, Billy Holland; Peter O’Mahony – capt., Tommy O’Donnell, CJ Stander.
