Rory Scannell has been called up to the Irish squad along with Ulster’s Stuart Olding.
The duo have been called up as cover for the injured pair of Johnny Sexton and Robbie Henshaw. Sexton injured his hamstring early in the first half, being replaced by Ulster’s Paddy Jackson while Henshaw was stretchered off as a result of a controversial hit by Sam Cane.
Scannell has been a revelation for Munster this season putting in some notably excellent performances in the bonus-point win over Glasgow and the historic win over the New Zealand Maori.
