Back in contention.
Munster star Andrew Conway has been called back into Ireland camp ahead of their crucial Six Nations clash with Wales at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin this weekend.
The versatile back has missed out on selection for the opening two rounds of the competition so far due to an ongoing knee injury. But an update issued by Munster suggests he’s back in contention for selection this weekend.
“Andrew Conway has returned to Ireland camp ahead of the 6 Nations clash against Wales on Saturday afternoon.” Munster said on their website.
There was no mention of Conway in Ireland’s press release yesterday, which noted that Niall Scannell, Garry Ringrose and John Cooney have all been called into the squad.
Should Conway be cleared match fit, he would likely be given a spot on the bench ahead of Fergus McFadden.
