Benched.
Simon Zebo looks set to be benched for Munster’s crucial Champions Cup semi-final clash with Racing 92 in Bordeaux on Sunday, according to a report in The Irish Examiner.
The Ireland international has been struggling with a number of niggling injuries in recent weeks, and has been nowhere near his best form in a red jersey.
He came off early in the first-half against Toulon, lasting just 25 minutes, and struggled in his comeback game against the Cheetahs this past weekend.
Zebo was replaced by Ian Keatley at fullback just 15 minutes into that fixture in Bloemfontein, and now looks set to pay a hefty price as Munster look to reach a first European final in ten years against his future side.
Andrew Conway instead looks set to start at fullback, with the returning Keith Earls on one wing and either Alex Wootton or Darren Sweetnam on the other.
Munster head coach Johann van Graan names his matchday 23 at noon tomorrow.
