Rassie Erasmus has revealed that Francis Saili will return to full training this week.
Munster’s Director of Rugby believes the New Zealander will be ready for a return to action over the festive period. The former All Black is yet to play this season after undergoing shoulder surgery over the summer.
His return comes at a vital stage in the season with Munster set to play Leicester Tigers back to back in the Champions Cup as well as a huge inter-pro clash with rivals Leinster in the PRO12.
Erasmus also confirmed that Tyler Bleyendaal will be available for selection this weekend, as will all of the province’s recently returned internationals. Peter O’Mahony reported a back spasm after his involvement on Friday and did not train today but will be in line for selection this weekend.
Jaco Taute and Duncan Williams picked up respective bangs to the ribs and shoulder but are also expected to be passed fit for this weekend.
