Munster set to raid rivals Leinster for prop and hooker ahead of next season

Reinforcements.

Munster Rugby are set to add some much-needed reinforcements to their front row ahead of next season with a double swoop from rivals Leinster Rugby.

The southern province have been down to their bare bones in the front row in recent seasons, and with new IRFU director of high-performance David Humphreys banning provinces from signing props, Munster are unable to look overseas.

Leinster’s huge playing population and bloated squad has allowed Munster to reportedly lure Leinster loosehead Michael Milne and hooker Lee Barron to Limerick, with Murray Kinsella of the The42 claiming a deal is close for both players.

South African prop Dian Bleuler has been brought in as short-term cover at loosehead this season, with 25-year-old Milne set to offer the province some long-term stability.

23-year-old Barron is behind the likes of Dan Sheehan, Ronan Kelleher, and recently capped Gus McCarthy, with Munster in the market for a quality hooker for quite some time and they’ll be hoping Barron will be that man.
