Returning the favour.
The rugby world can give themselves a huge pat on the back with how they have honoured Anthony Foley and Munster in recent months. The unity of the sport has been there for all to see and has been a joy to behold.
None however can be commended more for their efforts than Munster’s opponents tomorrow Racing 92. The Parisian club have done their utmost to help the fans, players and staff at Munster in any way they can.
It was in Paris before the two sides were set to meet where Foley tragically lost his life. Racing fans opened their hearts and even their homes to Munster fans. They organised a number of wonderful tributes and set up a special guard of honour for the players before the rescheduled tie a couple of weeks back.
Tomorrow Munster will return the favour. The Munster Rugby Supporters Club will be hosting a Guard of Honour with members of the Racing Supporters Club for the team buses arriving to the stadium on Match Day.
They have asked that as many supporters as possible gather at the white marquee in the Guinness Fanzone between 3:30 and 3:45 to pick up a Munster Flag and get instructions on placement for both bus arrivals from 3:50pm – Munster team bus is scheduled to arrive first, followed by the Racing 92 bus.
A truly wonderful sport, with magical fans. Top class from all involved.
