Overtaken.
The latest World Rugby Rankings have been released and there’s been some movement at the top following this past weekend’s Six Nations results with Wales moving to third in the world.
Warren Gatland’s side defeated England 21-13 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Saturday evening, with the win resulting in them overtaking their neighbours.
The win was worth three-quarters of a point to Wales who are still on course for a Grand Slam with a trip to Scotland and a home game against Ireland still to come in the final two rounds of the Six Nations Championship.
A fraction over a rating point now separates the teams in the rankings with England dropping down to fourth. France meanwhile climb above Argentina and Fiji as a result of their win over Scotland and are now eighth in the rankings, nine-tenths of a point behind their beaten opponents.
