Tighthead worries.
Munster could be without their two main tighthead props for this weekend’s trip to Cardiff Blues in Round 4 of the Guinness PRO14.
Ireland internationals John Ryan suffered an ankle injury in Friday night’s 49-13 bonus-point win over the Ospreys. He will have a scan and will be seen by a specialist this week to determine further treatment.
His replacement in that game Stephen Archer was also treated for suspected concussion during the match and will undergo the return to play protocol under the supervision of the medical department. Scrumhalf James Hart suffered a knee injury in the game and will be managed by the medical department.
In some good news, Tyler Bleyendaal has start his long-awaited return to training this week. The former Crusaders man has been out for a number of months with a neck problem.
Conor Murray meanwhile, is progressing well in his rehabilitation under the supervision of the medical department.
Continuing rehabilitation: Neil Cronin (shoulder), Billy Holland (ribs) Kevin O’Byrne (calf), Niall Scannell (shoulder), Liam O’Connor (knee), Conor Oliver (toe), Jack O’Donoghue (knee), Conor Murray (neck), Chris Farrell (knee), Ronan O’Mahony (ankle).
