British and Irish Lions all over the world will be waking up this morning still reeling following yesterday’s crushing final Test defeat to hand the series to South Africa.

Just three points separated the two sides in the end, with none other than Morne Steyn kicking the winning penalty, 12 years on from when he did the exact same thing the last time the Lions came to town.

It’s a bitter pill to swallow for the touring side who will feel like they left the series out there, but they can be proud of their efforts against the reigning world champions.
