James Lowe on the one Lion he wants to avoid rooming with
Roomies.
The 2025 British and Irish Lions got together for the first time over the weekend following Andy Farrell’s squad announcement earlier this month.
Farrell selected 38 players in his squad to tour Australia, with a huge number of them coming from his Ireland squad, including Leinster winger James Lowe, who was in great form at the ‘admin day’ for the players.
He sat down with Sky Sports to chat all things Lions and had a hilarious answer when asked about which Lion he would like to avoid rooming with in Australia this summer.
“I mean, fortunately enough, I know a lot of the boys, obviously being Irish, but I would avoid Jack Conan at all costs,” Lowe said with a smile.
“And I think that’s pretty universal. Rooming with Jack is like rooming with a little brother who doesn’t, yeah, who doesn’t do the basics, basics that you’d expect of him.
“And he’ll probably admit that as well. But, yeah, like, I look. I’m looking forward to, you know, getting in the deep end, and I don’t really care who I’m rooming with.
“I’m looking forward to getting to mix and mingle with people from other countries.
“We’ve all got the same goal, and we’ve all made it here.”
Poor Jack.
