England and Lions centre Ben Te’o could be set to leave financially troubled Worcester, with fresh reports emerging that Premiership rivals Bath are interested in buying out his contract early.

The Rugby Paper revealed on Sunday that Worcester are currently struggling financially, with the club releasing the following statement on Monday:

“The club can confirm it is always seeking further investment to support our existing shareholders and to ensure that the club continues to compete at the highest level in the years ahead.”

“This is part of our ongoing strategy and we are committed to finding the right partner to help take the club forward.”
