Limerick Hurlers Draft In Munster & Ireland Star Ahead Of All-Ireland Final

No better man.

The Limerick hurling team have drafted in Munster and Ireland winger Keith Earls to assist them in their All-Ireland final preparations.

Limerick defeated Cork this past weekend to book their place in the final at Croke Park, and will face the winner of this weekend’s replay between Clare and Galway. It’s Limerick’s first final in over a decade, with the Treaty county seeking a first win since 1973.

Earls is no stranger to the big occasion, having made the matchday squad as a youngster as Munster won their second Heineken Cup back in 2008, before going on to play a countless number of huge games for both club and country since then.

Conor Murray is another man who knows all about the big occasion. The Munster scrumhalf revealed Earls’ role yesterday, as well as offering up some advice of his own.

“Earlsy was out chatting to them actually, they have linked into that a little bit.” Murray said.

“I’d just chat about whatever questions they ask me and how to prepare. Don’t try and do anything different, that is what go you there in the first place. These are cliché things, because that is what they are and because that is what works in those games.

“They look like a team that are completely comfortable. They look like a team that didn’t get bogged down by the occasion last week and that was the fear with Limerick going to Croke Park for years. They seem to have a grasp on that. Earlsy is doing a good job with that.”
