Leinster have held talks with Israel Dagg about a potential move to Dublin.
The world cup winning fullback is out of contract in the summer and has already attracted interest from the likes of Top 14 side Toulon. The 28-year-old, who started on the right wing against Ireland on Saturday, is understood to have met with the province last week while in Dublin for the game.
The signing of Dagg, currently with the Canterbury Crusaders, would require IRFU go-ahead, along with the fending off of advances from several Top 14 clubs. Zane Kirchner is out of contract at the end of the season and looks likely to move on, and utility back Dagg would be a significant coup for Leo Cullen and the province.
