Leigh Halfpenny looks set to leave Toulon.
The Welshman’s contract is up at the end of the season and while he was originally expected to sign an extension with the French side, it now looks like he may depart.
Halfpenny has starred for Toulon in recent weeks, scoring 21 of their 26 points in the Top 14 quarter-final win over Montpellier and 15 of their 18 in last night’s semi-final win over La Rochelle.

Despite this Midi Olypmique are reporting that Toulon owner Mourad Boudjellal is set to offer him a two-year extension worth €350,000 a season, a massive drop in his current wage of €600,000 a season.
It’s also been confirmed that Halfpenny will fly out with the Lions on Monday, missing the Top 14 final. This will no doubt not sit well with Toulon and it looks like the fullback is on his way out.
