The John Cooney show.
Ulster got off to an excellent start under new Head Coach Dan McFarland at Ravenhill this evening, as they defeated the Scarlets thanks to the boot of John Cooney.
Scarlets playmaker Rhys Patchell scored the only try of the game, and it looked like that score would prove to be the difference up until the last few seconds of the game.
Scrumhalf John Cooney kept plugging away however, bagging four penalties before kicking the one that mattered in the 80th minute from 25 metres to snatch victory for the Irish province.
Super stuff from Ulster. Full-time: Ulster 15-13 Scarlets
