Kyle Sinckler’s rise over the last twelve months has been nothing short of incredible.
The Harlequins tighthead has been in excellent form in the Premiership this season and has served as impressive option off the bench for England. He’s also been selected in Warren Gatland’s British & Irish Lions squad, despite having not started a game for his national side yet.
Sinckler is very much a work in progress, but you don’t become a Lion for no reason. Wales legend Adam Jones was the star man in the front-row last time the Lions were on tour and he’s played a huge role in creating the next potential star number three.
The young England prop says he’s been following Jones around for the last two years to learn as much as he can from him.
He has got 95 caps for Wales, five for the Lions so I have been following him around for the last two years.
Sinckler says Jones has pretty much changed his life.
He has taken me under his wing 100 per cent, from the first day I met him in the sports hall at pre-season.
He was, like, ‘Hi, Kyle; Adam,’ and I was like ‘I know who you are, you probably don’t know who I am.’
He has been a massive help to me, he probably changed my life, to be honest; just the way I see things, the respect I have for him. He is a top bloke, a good man.
