Keith Earls Provides Hugely Positive Injury Update

On the mend.

Ireland winger Keith Earls is hopeful he will be able to return before the end of the season and play a part in the business end of Munster’s campaign.

Earls injured his knee in Ireland’s Grand Slam win over England at Twickenham last month. But it’s emerged it is not as bad as it was initially feared.

Speaking on The Left Wing, Earls claims he will “definitely” be back this season.

“Definitely this season, but when is the question,” Earls said.

“Obviously what happened to me, I did think it was my ACL.”

“The scan showed that it wasn’t as bad as first thought. It is an MCL injury. I’m touch and go, I’m rehabbing and was running this week. Look, who knows, hopefully it will be fine in the coming weeks.”

Sunday week’s Champions Cup semi-final clash with Racing 92 will likely come too soon for the in-f0rm winger. But should Munster make the final, it looks like he would likely be back. There’s also the PRO14 play-offs to look forward to.
