Former Racing 92 and Springboks star Johan Goosen is set to come out of retirement in a record breaking move ahead of next season.
The utility back shocked the rugby world when he announced his “retirement” from the game back in 2016, aged just 24, despite being under contract with Racing until the end of the 2020 season.
Now controversial Montpellier owner Mohad Altrad, the man originally accused of orchestrating Goosen’s “retirement,” is set to buy him out of his contract for a whopping €1,400,000, according to reports in France.
Goosen is now set to line out for Montpellier next season, in a move that has been mooted ever since he retired.
