Joe Schmidt is set to go with experience when he names his Ireland team, with Tommy Bowe set to be named in his squad to take on Scotland.
The Ulster and Lions winger hasn’t played for Ireland in nearly 18 months, after being stretchered off against Argentina in the quarter-final of the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
Andrew Trimble is set to be ruled out with a groin problem, with Schmidt reportedly opting to go with Munster duo Simon Zebo and Keith Earls in the wings, with Bowe in reserve on the replacements bench.
Schmidt is also interestingly set to go with Ian Keatley as his back-up outhalf, despite the fact that we was not named in his original 40-man squad. The Ireland boss suggested he may go with uncapped Munster back Rory Scannell, but it seems he will instead go with the tried and tested Keatley.
