Ireland head coach Joe Schmidt has revealed that Andrew Conway and Garry Ringrose, as well as Iain Henderson all miss out this weekend for the third and final Test with Australia through injury.
Many speculated Schmidt had just decided to rotate his side, but it turns out he was left with no choice. Dan Leavy, as expected, was also unavailable for selection this weekend after picking up a bad whack to the sternum just before half-time on Saturday.
Conway has been replaced by Jacob Stockdale, while Bundee Aki comes into the midfield in place of Ringrose.
“Andrew Conway is still debilitated by that hip-pointer in the action of him scoring the try early in the second Test” Schmidt said
“Iain Henderson hasn’t recovered sufficiently from that knock on the knee.”
“Dan Leavy was unavailable and Garry Ringrose was unavailable with a foot injury.”
Ireland take on Australia in a series decider at Allianz Stadium in Sydney this Saturday.
