Joe Marler has sensationally ruled himself out of England’s summer tour to Australia.The Harlequins prop has decided he needs to rest up for the summer. Marler has told Eddie Jones he would prefer to rest rather than participate in the tour of Australia.
Marler has come under severe criticism in recent month after having first been banned for two weeks for calling Wales forward Samson Lee a ‘gypsy boy’ before receiving another two week ban upon his return after appearing to kick Arnaud Heguy in the head during a clash with Grenoble.
How this will affect his future with Eddie Jones’ England remains to be seen.
