The big one.
Jamie Heaslip had a pretty successful rugby career along things considered. In fact – he had a career that most professional rugby players could only dream of to be honest.
He won multiple European Cups, League Championships, Six Nations titles (including a Grand Slam) and started multiple Tests for the British and Irish Lions across three tours, winning a series against Australia in 2013.
But one thing alluded him throughout his career. A Rugby World Cup. When asked last night on BT Sport’s Rugby Tonight what his biggest career regret was in terms of achievements, Heaslip didn’t hesitate.
“Win a World Cup.” Heaslip said.
“And I think they (the current Ireland team) have the best shot probably than ever right now. It’s pretty simple.”
