Not happy.
Israel Folau’s wife Maria has hit out at Rob Kearney and World Rugby after her husband had his one-week ban for a challenge on Peter O’Mahony upheld yesterday following an appeal.
Folau was shown a yellow card during the game itself for one challenge, before being given a separate citing commissioner’s warning for another, both involving captain Peter O’Mahony.
But Mrs. Folau has highlighted another incident, once again featuring Israel but this time with Rob Kearney. Both fullbacks attempt to win the ball in the air, before Folau lands hard.
She claims this incident should have been deemed as dangerous/foul play on Kearney’s part. The reaction has been mixed with some claiming it’s entirely different to the O’Mahony incidents, while others have highlighted inconsistencies from World Rugby.
Have a look below. What do you think?
