Not a bad day for the Irish.
Ireland let the rest of the Six Nations know today that they are very much still in contention for the Six Nations title with a 9-try rout of Italy in Rome.
CJ Stander and Craig Gilroy both grabbed a hat-trick each, as Ireland put Conor O’Shea’s men to the sword. Robbie Henshaw and Rob Kearney however, both left the pitch in the second-half with injuries, leaving a lot of Irish fans worried.
The good news is the duo’s injuries aren’t severe, and both should be back in training in a couple of days, and definitely ready in time for the France game.
Even better news came when Schmidt confirmed that both Sexton and Peter O’Mahony should be fit and ready for the clash at the Aviva in two weeks time.
