Building on the success of last year’s event, the Dublin 7s Festival is back for its second instalment on Saturday 13th of May.
The Dublin 7s Festival combines rugby and live music to create an incredible day for participants and spectators alike. The event is taking place in Old Belvedere Rugby Club, not far from the city centre.
The rugby tournament will run throughout the day, starting at 9.30AM, and finishing with the Men’s Elite Final that evening. Live music will be provided by the iconic boy-band, 5IVE; as well as 90’s sensation, Smash Hits until 1AM. Outdoor bars will be prevalent on the grounds, helping revellers to kick off the summer in style.
The divisions are split in to Men’s Elite, Men’s Open, Women’s Open, and Mixed Tag Rugby. Supporters will be able to cheer on their teams from the elevated terrace, which has direct access to the fully stocked club bar. The Bushmills Garden will be serving whiskey cocktails, while the Heineken Tent will provide pitch-side entertainment for people to enjoy the day.
The Legends Bar and Premium Area will also be available with a terrace over looking the rugby grounds. MOET Premium ticket-holders will enjoy a glass of champagne, a gourmet BBQ Steak Sandwich and the chance to kick back in the players lounge plus much more.
The Ireland Sevens team are among those set to feature in the Men’s Elite Lague, with the likes of Alex Wootton and Dan Goggin of Munster and Leinster flier Adam Byrne having represented them recently.
