British and Irish Lions head coach Andy Farrell has been hit with another potential selection headache ahead of his squad announcement this week.
Connacht and Ireland winger Mack Hansen looks set to be out for five weeks with an ankle problem, casting doubt over his potential selection on Thursday.
Hansen has long been one of the leading contenders to tour and joins Ireland captain Caelan Doris as a serious doubt for the tour.
Doris needs to undergo a procedure on his shoulder after picking up the injury in Saturday’s Champions Cup semi-final.
In some good news, however, Connacht’s Bundee Aki has recovered from a heel issue and is available to be selected by Farrell.
