This should be a cracking series.
Ireland are set to take on Michael Cheika’s Wallabies in the last ever June Test series next year according to a report in The Daily Telegraph this morning.
The Australian Rugby Union (ARU) is set to announce a three-match series agains Joe Schmidt’s men at a press conference on Wednesday, with President of Ireland Michael D. Higgins set to be in attendance.
The three games have reportedly been agreed and locked in, and will be held in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.
Only one position separates the two sides in the World Rankings at the minute, with Australia and Ireland ranked 3rd and 4th in the world respectively.
The last time the two sides met was in the Aviva last November, with Ireland securing a famous win.
