The Italian Job.
Ireland have bounced back in style from their opening round defeat to Scotland, by demolishing Italy 10-63 in the Six Nations.
Joe Schmidt’s men bagged nine tries, with both CJ Stander and Craig Gilroy bagging a hat-trick a piece.
Stander was named man of the match after another mammoth performance, becoming just the second forward to have ever scored a hat-trick in the Six Nations. Gilroy was a second-half replacement and amazingly bagged his three tries in the space of 15 minutes.
Ireland also created a wonderful piece of history in the process.
2 – This is the first time since 1914 (England) that a team has had 2 hat-trick scorers in a Five/Six Nations game. Flurry.
