Replaced.
Ulster hooker Rob Herring has been called into Ireland’s Rugby World Cup squad in place of the injured Sean Cronin.
Cronin will play no further part in the World Cup, according to a report by the BBC.
Captain Rory Best will likely start against New Zealand in the quarter-finals on Saturday with Herring set to battle it out with Munster hooker Niall Scannell for a place on the bench.
Herring is the second player to join up with the Irish squad after his teammate Jordi Murphy flew in ahead of the Russia game in place of the injured Jack Conan, who fractured his foot.
