British and Irish Lions captain Sam Warburton said his side will dedicate the remaining matches of their New Zealand tour to those affected by the London terror attacks.
Three men were shot dead after killing six and injuring 48 more with a van and knife attack in the capital on Saturday. The British and Irish Lions expressed shock and sympathy for those killed and injured in the attacks.
“We will dedicate to those who have been involved,” said Warburton.
“I guess we can play a small part in trying to cheer a majority of the nation up by trying to be successful over here. We’ll commit our performances and all our efforts to those involved recently in London.”
An incredible heroic story has now surfaced of a rugby player police officer who was one of the first onto the scene of the attack. He reportedly took on all the terrorists until he was forced to the ground. He’s now in a serious condition in hospital after his heroics. Let’s hope he can pull through. Our thoughts and prayers are with him.
