Ian Madigan’s time in France may be about to come to a premature end.
The Irish playmaker made the switch to the French side in the summer on a two-year deal.
According to Midi Olympique, Madigan has asked Bordeaux president Laurent Marti for an early release from his deal with the Top 14 side.
The former Leinster outhalf is apparently unhappy with his playing time, and is said to be eyeing up a move to England, and reportedly already has ‘several offers from ambitious clubs.’
Bordeaux would not be opposed to allowing Madigan to leave, providing they could find a suitable replacement. Former England international Toby Flood is being touted as a possible replacement.
