Exodus.
Glasgow may be flying high in the PRO14 this season, but that might not be the case for much longer if their player exodus continues…
Finn Russell left the Scottish side over the summer for French giants Racing 92, and last week it was confirmed that fullback Stuart Hogg will leave for Exeter next summer.
And now it’s emerged they’re set to lose yet another Scotland international to the Premiership, with Huw Jones turning down a deal to remain with the Warriors.
Jones has reportedly turned down a deal in the region of £375,000 a year to stay in Glasgow in favour of a move to England, and an even better contract with Leicester Tigers according to Rob Robertson of the Scottish Daily Mail.
While Glasgow’s centre stocks are pretty decent, with the likes of Peter Horne, Alex Dunbar and Nick Grigg on their books, losing a player of Huw Jones’ quality is a massive loss.
