Leinster back-row Caelan Doris looks set to make his Test debut for Ireland this weekend as Andy Farrell gets set to name his team for their Six Nations opener with Scotland at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
Farrell doesn’t name his team until around 2pm tomorrow afternoon but multiple reports have already leaked his probable selection. Doris looks set to be partnered in the back-row by CJ Stander and Josh van der Flier with Peter O’Mahony missing out.
Other big calls include Iain Henderson getting the nod over Devin Toner and Rob Herring starting at hooker. In the backline, Will Addison looks set to start at fullback with Jordan Larmour not fully fit following a foot injury.
Andrew Conway looks set to finally get a chance in the starting XV with his provincial teammate Keith Earls missing out although Earls has been carrying a knock which saw him miss Munster’s Champions Cup clash with Ospreys.
In the centre, Robbie Henshaw looks set to get the nod over Bundee Aki with Garry Ringrose at 13. Conor Murray also looks set to be retained at nine alongside captain Johnny Sexton, despite John Cooney’s form. The Ulster nine is however expected to make the matchday squad.
