Francis Saili wants to stay with Munster.
The former All Blacks and Blues centre is hoping to extend his two-year deal with the province that expires this summer.
Saili missed a large proportion of the season, with South African Jaco Taute being drafted in as cover. Taute impressed so much, Munster decided to extend his contract until the end of the season, leaving Saili behind the Stormers man in the pecking order.
Munster have also announced the signing of Irish centre Chris Farrell and JJ Hanrahan ahead of next season, but are still expected to keep either Saili or Taute with the province for next season.
“It’s a weekly thing for me but you know I’m honoured to stay here longer. Going back home, pre World Cup… when you have something quite good here you’re happy to stay here longer.” Saili said.
Whatever happens, happens but I’m just playing each week as it comes and putting my hand up and being able to play my best . That’s what I want to do.”
